This group is an email and web based discussion group for individuals interested in researching and discussing issues related to uterine fibroids.

The Uterinefibroids support group encourages both positive and negative feedback on all methods of treatment ranging from hysterectomy, myomectomy, uterine artery embolization, myolyis, endometrial ablation, mifepristone (RU-486), female reconstructive surgery (FRS or FAS), hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and any other treatment option that a woman may be considering or have already undergone in an effort to treat her uterine fibroids. This email list group also supports and encourages discussion on a wide range of fibroids-related topics, such as emotional issues, financial issues, health insurance, sexuality, age, fertility, ethnicity, and symptoms, as well as treatment options.

In addition to the active discussions which generate 30-100 email messages a day on this list group, the Yahoo website for Uterinefibroids also serves as a clearing house for the sharing of files, bookmarked websites, photos of surgery, calendar of live chat events, frequently asked questions, a database of acronyms and glossary terms, and much, much more. Registration with Yahoo is required to access these additional features.
